this is quite an eye-grabbing image. Its numerous contrasts work very well together. The bursting structure of the 3D forms successfully contains the various other elements in the picture and guides the eye of the viewer. The color scheme is soothing upon the outwardly chaotic explosion of sharp, sword- or fang-like 3D forms. Those abstracted forms are also complemented by the peaceful flowers, which are suggestive of innocence. The two varieties of flowers- the colorful, realistic sunflowers and the flat, decorative vines in the background- present yet another visually successful contradiction. The layered effect- sunflowers upon abstract 3D forms upon decorative vines- is very convincing: i would believe that it is actually a relief sculpture rather than a two-dimensional rendering on a flat plane. Finally, the association with graffiti and the underlying allusion to the duality and co-existence of violence and innocence give this image quite a powerful impact. Wonderful work!
