Critiques
To begin with you didn't limit yourself to the lighting that was in the original picture; you softened the light, added some glow, and gave it a strong hue. Similarly you also softened the picture itself. This changes the mood of the picture and makes it more warm which blends well with the theme of the image. Similarly you colored the background away from it's original photographer's paper gray to a much more colorful theme.
In both of these cases you did so with little to no bleed on the colors except with the 'energy lines' which is good as they should be producing lens flare.
The energy lines are imaginative and clean. They react with a sense of - well - energy in the shot and add life to the previously static shot. This strongly adds to the artistic sense established by the subject matter and truly earns this work it's title.
However, and it's just a nitpick, the approach you used (curling around the subject) is redundant with your previous work. It's still appropriate but that being said other possibilities could be explored in this and future works. Possible examples would include running on the edges of the subject or coursing through it.
In general you've done an excellent job of bringing life to an otherwise sterile shot and I think your hard work was well rewarded with this final product.
